Short Biographies

I was born in December 1993. First of all, I learned responsibility and patience naturally from my childhood. So I am the type who keeps trying without giving up.

<Middle and High school>
I liked arts and physical education more than studying and writing. Looking at the countless jobs of adults, one day when dreams were changing every day, I realized the feeling of "fun" and "confident" when I was drawing. I started practicing art after persuading my parents to do allow me to explore me newly found passion. It was fun to study professional art, and not be doing this in isolation. I felt satisfied creating things with my own hands. I the simple drawing of a picture, my self-esteem seemed to increase. This encouraged me to spend a lot of time in the art academy when I was in high school.

<College Years>
College turned out to be different from the entrance exam that I was preparing hard for in high school. When I first entered college, it was full of difficulties, but for the most part it was fun. Then, I ventured off to study in America. I wanted to learn a more worldly vision. It was a constant series of new experiences when I arrived in the United States. Culture, race, and food all began to become commonplace, and less strange to me. However, I took a long leave of absence because of my father's business to allow for my studies abroad.

<The period of time off from school>
When I took a break from school, I learned about the importance of teamwork.
I am usually, interested in environmental issues, and thought, "I want to get rid of trash on the street." At the recommendation of a friend, he entered the "Single quotation mark" The main topic of “Single quotation mark” was the environment and we both targeted it. Several meetings later, and as our ideas to save the environment began to coalesce, we decided that "Let's protest by unpacking the trash on to the street," "Let's let them pickup the trash they threw away," and "Let's sublimate the trash into art." The problem I felt was that my team needed new members. To solve this problem, we recruited eight members by reaching out to potential members who can donate their talents through SNS. At first, I ventured out with a garbage bag, a microphone, a pen, and a brush on the street. When I picked up the trash, the artist amongst us, was face painting, the writer sang a poem, and the singer-songwriter sang a requested song. The interested children and adults who threw away trash began to pick it up. I felt overwhelmed when I saw adults who throw away garbage give it to their children. As a result, trash disappeared on the street. After a few activities, the discord from the team was resolved as much as possible through dialogue and our collective opinion was respected. Reflecting on this experience of "reducing trash on the street", and through working together as a team, I felt that there was nothing I couldn't do. Together we experienced cleanliness and transformation with our own eyes. Since then occurrence, our undertaking has been promoted and broadcasted, and artists have visited and we have been interviewed by festival organizers. Through this experience, I learned the importance of teamwork and learned that it is immensely meaningful to move forward with a common goal.

<Designer's First Step>
I have worked in the design team of Fila Korea for about 2 years starting in 2018. At that time, I started working as an assistant in the design team, and after a short time, I was recognized for my ability to design socks and hats for adults. Due to the high demand of for this product category, many people desired it, but no one at my company, had the answer for how to create demand within the untapped, student demographic population. I thought it was important to understand the trends of students first in order to analyze their purchasing desires. In 2018, students began to look for the Fila brand and Chinese customers were also increasing. As a result, I visited nearby middle and high schools to observe the style of products that students wear, and tried to understand trends in more detail by conducting market research on other brands. I searched for trends by walking around public transportation areas in downtown Seoul and streets frequented by young people. Due to human rights violations, it was difficult to take pictures of people and of other brands. In addition, we matched 2019 coral color matching colors. Through market research, young people began designing in the style of heavy wooden socks and lines worn by students. Since then, more and more customers have been looking for Fila socks, and even baby socks designed with adult socks themes have been sold out. As a result, I started to design and oversee adult and infant socks, and with the recommendation of the product team leader who appreciated my activities. I was now in charge of adult and infant hats, collaboration, seasonal items, and accessories for the new semester. This experience has helped me gain experience bringing a project through to its successful completion, while having thorough market research and analytical skills being applied to the final designs.
